Run To Lose Fat

Run To Lose Fat

Tread mill appeared in my life as an equipment to run and burn calories but it taught me a sport called ‘RUNNING’. Running literally changed my attitude towards life. Now, I run outdoors for the kick, The kick that comes from running freely on the roads. I run to synchronize my upper and lower body to support each other and move in one direction. I run to strengthen my heart, my lungs.

Also from the time, I started training for my first marathon, running made me so aware of my stamina, the clutter in my mind, the range of motion of my muscles and ligaments and above all it made me aware of my determination. Do I worry about the calories? No, as I am confident that fat burning is a natural consequence of running. So, instead of fussing about the calories input/output. I rather let my mind and body celebrate after a good round of running

Running is something that challenges our heart to become stronger. The stronger our heart is, the stronger our every other organ will be. With strong organs. We ought to expect a mind boggling immunity and a strong, sturdy body!

How does running strengthens our heart?

During running or any aerobic activity, the demands on our cardiovascular system(Heart and lungs) increases as our muscles require more oxygen in order to maintain their output. Our cardiovascular system responds by increasing our heart rate, blood pressure and redirecting blood flow in order to maximize the amount of oxygen delivered to our muscles. The more we challenge ourselves, the more the capacity of our cardiovascular system to regulate the blood flow and supply of oxygen to working tissues increases. Which in turn increases the strength of our cardiovascular system. To build on this strength. We should target to increase our exercise performance or the intensity of our running.

Increasing the exercise performance also helps us to burn fat. As, increased exercise performance mean increased energy requirement for the improved functioning of our cardiovascular system as well as muscles. And all this energy requirement is fulfilled from the burning of the deposited fat in our body.

Run to strengthen your cardio vascular system, increase your immunity, alert your brain and burn the deposited fat. You can chose interval training, intermittent training or any other variation to plan your running session. I wrote about these training HERE

Get smart, get running.

Cheers!
